Hello saints, my name is Eld. Mrs. Affiong Ubaha. I am a member of Gospel Foundation Bible Church Worldwide, I first came in contact with the church by late 1996. At that time the church was having her annual convention, and I was invited by my son who got the information from a friend, I attended the program on one of those days and was amazed by the teachings of both the Man of God, Rev. Anietie Udoh the host Pastor and the guest speaker.
At the end of the service that day, a call for seed was made I went there with an offering not enough for seed sowing. But when a call was made for #5000, I could not resist the anointing in the atmosphere I stood up; an amount I had never given in church; be it tithe, offering or seed, I’d never in any program I attended before that day. However, by the grace of God I was able to redeem my pledge the following day which was the last day of the program.
I was working in the Nigerian Port industry for about 20 years, even as an officer, I never had an opportunity to travel officially outside my port location for either official work or conference. But few days after I had redeemed my pledge a letter came from our office headquarters with a list of workers to attend a workshop in Lagos and my name was there, for the first time in 20 years. this could only be the God of miracle!
Travelling officially in the establishment where I worked did not only give me the acquisition of knowledge or experience but added a financial benefit to it. From then henceforth, opportunities opened up for travelling for meetings, workshops, conferences, training etc. in my career. Glory to the God of Gospel Foundation Bible Church Worldwide
I made sure I located the house of the Man of God to give the tithe from the proceeds of that journey. After that I decided to make the Man of God my family pastor, but I didn’t know how to do it but miraculously, in early 1998 I met the same Man of God in our office premises as he came for a prayer session with the port management. The prayer session lasted for some days and at the end he made a call for people who were interested to attend a Bible School session which was to take off in March that year.
I attended the program, saints; the teaching was something else. I was born into a church where I was a Sunday pupil in my childhood years and a Bible student in my adolescent years, I rose up to the level of a Sunday school teacher in the church I was before I met this Man of God. But saints, it was like I never received any Bible teaching before as I listened to the teachings, I was now receiving in the Bible school. At the end of the program, I graduated and made up my mind to become a member of the church.
I am still a member of the church. My prayer life, my Bible study life, my relating with and understanding of fellow human beings has changed. I used to tell people around me that I would have found myself in hell when I die because of the sin of self-righteousness if I didn’t change to Gospel Foundation Bible Church, but glory to the God of Gospel Foundation Bible Church he has changed my life positively.
I honor the grace of God that is upon the man of God; I admire your boldness, the strength of God that is working in you, your ability to still stand and preach this word of the kingdom despite all odds is a testimony that you are indeed called by God and a source of encouragement to us.
